More loyalty and meaningful friendships!

I always hear about friends having fights and falling out over the simplest things. When I say simple, I really mean simple. A solid friendship should never be broken by minuscule things. A little loyalty goes a long way in friendships and in any interactions period.

Be loyal to the people in your life. Yes, loyalty is something we want more of!

More social media?

In the past couple of years, social media has completely blossomed. I can remember when email was the topic of discussion for everyone. Times have definitely changed. After the hype over email lessened, MySpace hit its prime. After its decline then Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, and several others took the world by storm.

I would not go on record saying that I am addicted to social media but it has definitely impacted my life. It helps to stay connected with people but on the contrary, it has the tendency to prolong procrastination. Nonetheless, I am eager to see where social media takes us next.

Dare we say, we want more social media?

We want more optimists!

It is really annoying to hear people, specifically older people say, “Good luck with finding a job in that field after graduation, There are a lot of people with degrees flipping burgers,” or anything of the sort. I know it won’t be the easiest thing to do after graduation but having a negative outlook will never get anyone anywhere.

Instead of uttering negative phrases or phrases that can be misinterpreted, say something positive. Most college students know the status of the job market so there is no need to add fuel to the fire.

Personally speaking, I have faith that God will work everything out. I am not going to dwell on the potential of not having a job after graduating college, no college student should. Always focus on the positive and trust that everything is always a part of a greater plan. Leave the pessimism at home.

We want fewer pessimists and more optimists!

We want more...Diversity.

For some strange reason our society likes to avoid the topic of diversity or race until something major happens. Something major like the interracial family on the Cheerios commercial or Paula Deen and her ‘alleged’ use of the ‘N word.’ Prejudice of any sort is disheartening, ranging from sexual orientation to political views. I am sure that I am not the only person in the world who feels as though there are bigger problems than what you and I like or dislike.

I can’t help but ask; does it REALLY matter what the next person is doing? Are THEIR personal preferences going to hurt my chances of success? Every time an issue occurs, I always ask myself this. The people who are having the most problems with whatever issues that are apparent, should probably ask themselves questions like this as well. I don’t see how gay marriage will negatively affect anyone or heterosexual marriage. I don’t see how people get angry with immigrants for coming to America to do jobs that my fellow Americans feel they are too good to do.

We live in a diverse world and that should be represented but that is just my personal opinion.
